Get TexShare, the universal Texas library card

Academic and public libraries have joined forces to bring Texans a library card that works at libraries across the state. The universal Texas library card is called a TexShare card and if you are a student or employee of SRSU you can get one at the Bryan Wildenthal Library for free! (If you are NOT affiliated with SRSU, you can get one from your Texas institution or public library.)

When you have your TexShare card, you can go to any of the 535 participating libraries and apply for a library card with privileges like borrowing books, or using their computers. Libraries in El Paso, Marfa, Fort Davis, and the Alpine Public Library all accept the TexShare card. Click the image below to see an interactive map of participating libraries. From there, click on a library name to find out lending policies for TexShare users, library hours, and contact information.
