My name is Jessica Hinojos. I am a 30 year old mother of one. I was born in Alpine, Texas and I am the youngest of three children. My parents are Merced Abel Hinojos and the late Jesusita “Susie” Hinojos. They raised me here in Alpine where I stayed to continue on with higher education. A little fun fact about me: I am a bit of a nerd and I reference movies, books and TV shows in my everyday life. Back to my life.
In 2010, I had an amazing little boy who is my pride and joy. He is the light that has made my life seem meaningful. When he was in first grade I decided to go back to college and pursue my dream of being a teacher. I wanted to show him that no matter how long it takes or how hard it is you can always make your dreams come true. So I set forth and am working on finishing up my post bacc certification while also working on my masters of education. I am currently working at Alpine Christian School, where I teach mathematics to 6th and 7th graders. This along with my son’s sports activities keeps me busy. Everything I do is to show my son that hard work is a part of life and we must do it to succeed.
