Sul Ross State University became a member of the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) in 2017 in order to embark on the path of implementing a sustainability performance measurement framework for the university.
AASHE’s STARS program, or the Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System, is “a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance.” This in-depth reporting tool will help us to strategically identify and prioritize the environmental, social, and economic benefits of sustainable practices at Sul Ross.
